[RESOLVED] Sony CD-RW Drive preventing Hibernation
I am running Windows 2000 Professional, and recently bought a Sony CRX140E CDRW drive. Since installation, the system refuses to go into hibernation, or standby mode, and gives the error "the device driver for the device 'Sony CRX140E' will not allow the system to go into hibernation/standby". Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
Thankyou in advance
Sam

I saw something recently that if you have a CD-RW disc in the drive, and are using Adaptec DirectCD, then Standby and Hibernation will fail every time.
If are using DirectCD, make sure that the CD-RW drive is empty before going into Standby.
