Winsock error
I tried to install my newsgroup reading software, and I received a Winsock error when the program tried to connect to the internet. Can someone tell me why? Also, when I try to log on with MSN Messenger, it won't allow me,

That error useally means Network ? internet settings are having Issues.
I would start by reinstalling your TCP/IP settings and internet connections.

You know, I find it peculiar that all of this has been happening ever since I installed I.E.5.5. Sp2. Would that cause problems?

Sure could. Try running SFC and even upgrade to IE 6.0

Thanks for the help, and I'll try your suggestion.
Oh, does Windows M.E. have that feature, too?
I have 2 pc's connected and sharing an internet connection through a router. I used to be able to access Messenger through either machine, but not at the same time, and I can only access Messenger thorugh one machine, now. Ever hear of something like that? It'll allow Yahoo Messenger to log on, but not MSN Messenger.
