WinMe Patch File
There's a rumour that there's a patch file file Winme that's about 60 meg, but I can't find it, has anyone come across it???

Go Start and click Windows updates. MS will check your installed components and determines what is missing and gives you the option to install.

yea, thats for individual downloadable components, this patch is like a service pack, and sorts out the shutdown problem when u've been played fps's, ie. elite forces...

Just finished reading an MS report on just that issue....they're trying to move away from service packs, especially for OS's considered mostly home use, the 9x through ME variants. They're going to rely on updates as mentioned above, one at a time, as they're completed.
I just keep thinking that with two types of XP coming out, one geared for home and one for office application, MS has decided to make profit from "new" OS releases, which in the old days [five years ago] would've been considered service packs.
