[RESOLVED] winme thumbnails view - not working

yo! i just got an issue with winme. After instaling a viewing app from my digital camera the thumbnail view from explorer is not working anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this? I had already deleted the app but no luck.

Solutions from easy to difficult.

1] Have you tried "Sytem Restore?" If the thumbnails worked before you loaded the video apps., select a point back in the log to where everything worked, prior to the install of the video app. If that doesn't work,

2] Open IE, and go to "tools>folder options> and select "Enable web content in folders." If it's already selected, uncheck it and recheck it. Hopefully that'll do it, if not I'll quote from PC World Mag,

3] "Unfortunately, this feature can disappear when a poorly designed installation program tampers with the Registry settings for the image files Windows is to preview...Even if you know what software caused the glitch, uninstalling the guilty party won't necessarily restore the health of the registry entries corrupted by the rogue installer...you have to do that manually..."

Let's hope restore works for you...if you're comfortable working in the registry, repost, and more info. will follow. LOL
