    Post Windows ME Networking Novell

    I am having a problem Networking Win ME on a Novell network 5.1. I Have tried to install multiple clients 3.3 to 3.0 and I can’t seem to get it right. Is there any Win ME networking secrets????

    Are you actually able to install the client successfully? Have you specified the preferred server to log in to in the Advanced portion of the login dialog box? If you are trying to login to a Netware 5 server you need to select IP as a protocol when you install the client.

    Did you consult The Novell Knowledgebase to see if there is any information on your specific problem.

    I am not a ME expert by any stretch of the imagination, but when this happens to me on a Win9x client it usually means the NIC drivers aren't installed properly. Can you force the machine to login by going to c:\novell\client32\ and running the login exe (sorry I can't remember the exact name of it). Turning off system restore is definitely worth a shot.
