[RESOLVED] Sony 160E-RP
Having problems with the SONY Sony 160E-RP(12X)??
This cdr drive isn`t working properly with the VIA chipset and some BX based motherboards. With the VIA chipset (4 in 1 drivers)you must turn off DMA control
and sellect the PIO Mode 3 setting in the BIOS

If disabling DMA for that channel solves your problem you don't need to post here. If Sony claims your drive can work in DMA mode then ask them for a recommendation on a motherboard that will properly support it. If Sony doesn't support DMA for this drive then you're already done with your repair right?

via 4.29 final will slove that problem. set back your Bios to auto DMA.
