    Resolved [RESOLVED] Cd-Creator4....Access is denied

Have NT4 workstations with easy cd-creator4 installed. When logging with network admin rights, I access CD-creator with no problems but if I log in as standard user, I get the following error when accessing it. "Access is denied" and then, "error:creatr32.exe" "The instruction at 0x5f..... referenced memory...The memory could not be read". Any suggestions???

Login as Admin, goto the folder that EZCD is installed, right click, goto properties, goto security. Click the Permissions tab. Make sure that everyone has full control of that folder & its subdirectories. Also do the same thing with the shortcut that you are using to launch the program.

    Try this.

    Start Regedt32 (not regedit)
    Select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE pane.
    Expand Software
    Click once on Adaptec
Select Security on the menu bar and select Permissions
If Everyone is not already one of the values in the Permissions list,
    add 'em with full control.

    Should fix your problem.
    have a good one.

Thanks a lot guys for your help. I had already verified user access on the folder itself but did not check the registry. You were right "lph1952", the Adaptec key had "Everyone-Special access". Changed it to Everyone with "Replace permissions on existing subkeys" & now it's working fine. I find I'm having lots of various problems with Cd-creator 4.0x (3.5c was more stable)even with the updates. Still trying to figure out why Adaptec would not put Full access for Everyone, but Oh Well!
