No, it stopped being free a few weeks back. Updates are still available for another year or so, I think. One good one that's still free for personal use is F-Prot for DOS. Get it <a href="http://www.complex.is/f-prot" target="_blank">here.</a>

Thanks for the heads-up, jimmm33. I knew it was still available from some places, but you've saved me looking. I think the auto-download for updates only works if you've registered it with CA, but you can still download and install the updates by hand. I liked it for my less technically aware customers because of the simple update procedure. OK, I know Norton does its updates without even a mouse click, but I'm talking cheapskates here !
