Win2k Server with wireless AP
Hey all,
I'm thinking about setting up a win2k server on my network and having the computers on my network log into it. How can I make the user have to log into the server before they are granted internet access by my linksys wireless access point? Thanks for any help.

You can do this with MS Proxy... and possibly Squid.. but you will need to setup a proxy server.

you won't need to buy any special software...
win2k comes with nat/ics, read up on it in the help section and that will do all that you want it to do.
assign public ip to nic, while acting as a dhcp server.
i did this using a dail up account (just to see if i could do it) and useing my g/f roadrunner account for 5 pc's
