My Yamaha SCSI 8x8x24 has been rock solid, had 2 Yam burners before that, both of which are still serving their new owners reliably.
Got a Plextor SCSI CD too, fastest DAE I've ever had.

Although most of Yamaha users say they are good, I don't find them so reliable. I've had problems with Yamaha units in the past.
If you want my opinion, I wouldn't get a used Yamaha CD-RW.

    Cool

I have Yamaha CD-RW at home, and use a couple of the SCSI units at work without any trouble.
