Question which network card to buy for a server

Hi. We will shortly be moving offices. In the new premesis, we have designed a much faster network than what we presently have (100 mbps).
In the new place we will be setting up 3com switches that transfer data at 1gb. We want to buy new NIC cards for the servers to support the high speeds.
The two we are considering are 3com cards and intel cards. Presently we are using cards from both companies at 100mbps and do not see much of a difference (though I slightly prefer the Intel).
Anybody have an opinion of which is better? The price is about the same so it is not an issue.

    Thanks
    Rafi

The company I work for used 3Com when I came here. As the 3Com cards die, I replace them with Intel. I have yet to replace an Intel card.

    Intel works for me.

I just replaced my first Intel NIC today. Considering we have close to 1000 machines that's not bad to only have one go out. Intel all the way.

Kingston KNE30BT because you never know when you're gonna need BNC. One more vote for Intel, I think we are seeing a trend here <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

We've used Intel Pro100+ cards in our Novell server (first tryout for an Intel product) for load balancing and fault tolerance.

So far, so good. We've been using it non-stop for close to a year now with no problems.

3Com NICs are deployed throughout all the other servers and desktops and they are impressively reliable also.
