Post Is my NIC a good one?

Alrighty, first post n' all but I'll skip the cheese and get to my point. I originally registered here a week ago to get advice on a good card before I bought one but I didn't know I had to wait for acceptance so I bought the first 10/100mbps card I found, impatiently <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I had my hopes on a 3Com / D-Link / Intel card since those seem to be the Soundblaster or Geforce of Network cards, but I had an offer of a Unex card for 9 British notes so I took it, it's an ND012 Ethernet/Fast Ethernet PCI Bus adaptor, I was assured that it was a simple installation and to my amazement it was, with Windows ME finding it and installing the appropriate drivers first time. It's pretty much just for my Cable Modem when it arrives but I may possibly want to attend Gaming LAN's or Network with friends in the future (Using a 2nd card unless I detach the modem.)

I would just like to know if there's any issues relating to the card that I need to know and any other opinions on it (if you've even heard of / used this card)

    Thanking thee.

I haven't seen this card in my area, so I can't comment.

Basically, your cable modem would be happy with any 10Mbps card. Just make sure the NIC doesn't offload some processing to you PC's CPU. That might affect your performance.

I use 3C905's and have never had a problem. Intel's cards are bombproof also. Can't go wrong with those brands.
