Firewall Questions
I want to set up a Win2000 server with a Firewall, How do I set it up to run the FTP and Web server with out allowing it to become compromised? I want to share a cable connection with my other three computers. Anybody know how to configure this?
Thanks in advance.

Only allow ports 21 and 80 to be accessed from the outside. Then you have to keep up with the latest security patches and know how to configure your system so it doesn't get owned. Remember any services that you offer to the Net need to be locked down.
Try these two sites for info http://www.microsoft.com/security and http://www.securityfocus.com

Also, as trojans can get you through firewalls ( those sneaky little devils ) you should also protect your machine from OUTBOUND activity. Such as a remote hacker using your machine to launch a DDOS attack. One of the best ( for me it is the best ) and free proggy's you can get is ZoneAlarm by zone labs. Here's a link http://www.zonelabs.com/download/index.html
C' Ya!
