net mapping w/ win2k adv serv
I'm having a problem mapping a net drive 2 my client pc's...client gives error that the operation cannot be performed on this(the client machine)... The most confusing part is that the map will have no problems when logging in to a win2k serv...
The Clients:
win98
winME
any ideas???

Need more info, dude, but I'll try with what you gave <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Are you on a domain or workgroup? If on a workgroup, keep in mind you'll have to add the users/passwords of the WinME and Win98 people to the Win2k Server. In a domain model, it should work just fine, so yer screwed!!
Good Luck!

Do you have the active directory clients for Win98/ME installed on the client systems?
How are you trying to connect to the share? Mapping the drive with the unc or browsing to the share?
What specific permissions are assigned to Everyone and Guest? (share and ntfs)
