domain users group policy
How do I give my Domain Users Group the ability to install programs?

This is what I have done: Create a directory on your server (preferably a member server with a bit of space to spare). Name and share the directory appropriately (Apps or Install, for example). Give Everyone Read access to the share. Then copy your apps to the directory. U could even add a mapping to their Login scripts so it will always be available when they logon. If you don't want the share to be visible via Browsing, hide the share name!

that would work to a degree but there are some apps i want them to have permission to install locally from cd, but I'll give your idea a try. Thanks

If you mean "How do I give my domain users the PERMISSIONS to install programs, you have to do that locally on every machine, as far as I know. If you mean "How do I give my domain users the ABILITY to install programs", then yeah, I agree with that last post. (I do that here too
