Autodisconnecting Clients
We have clients on a TCP/IP *****Peer network. When they dial-in to our NT to use our AS/400, they sometimes received an AutoDisconnet. Anyone have any Ideas? I keep getting these calls claiming that they are "AS/400" issues, but I have checked, and the AS/400 does not AutoDisconnect.

Q: you're probably right - the AS/400 can't be the problem, as a dial-in is a point-to-point thing (with ppp as protocol) and as long as you don't dial in into the as/400 (probably not) that isn't involved in disconnecting your unit...
Have you checked the ppp-logging on the clients mashine? If you don't know where to set up... network/ppp-adapter/(somewhere's a switch to enable ppp-logging)

Also, it's semi random when it happens. I'm also thinking that it could be an issues w/ off brand modems connecting to a US Robotics modem bank.

Do they try to connect with 56k? There exist two different specifications of the 56k-protocol and robotics has involved the one... so perhaps the other can be incompatible at some time... perhaps try to force 34k-connect...
