30000 Coming Soon!
Hey, is there a big party planned for when WD hits 30,000 members? We should reach the barrier sometime soon! It sounds like it's time to offer some nostalgic posts about how WinDrivers was when you first registered! Congrats on an ultra-successful site!

I remember that users like Darren Wilson (of course), BAD IRON, Clauded, PCShark, Oldman, Gismo1_1 etc. were the most popular.
I'm sorry if I'm missing someone. Can't remember others right now.

I'd be curious to know just what proportion of those 30 000 are actively involved in the forums or chat rooms... Is there any way to find out, mods?
I'm glad to see WinDrivers gaining popularity. It's a good place to exchange ideas, tips and solutions with a semi-professional atmosphere.
It's just the best.

semi-professional, were computer techs, we have the most unprofessional job out there, half of us lock our selves in the tech room for hours. Most of us have come to work drunk or stoned at least once (many of them on a regular basis) and we work with machines that dont care how we look. I consider techs one of the most fun loving people in the world, its the nature of the job, were irreplacable and dont need alot of disapline (not to mention were all smart)
and that is the greatest part.

I remember when it was just me and a cold beer. Where I updated WinDrivers from -- notice the computer tipped sideways with a dusty $20,000 Cisco router underneath, I'm a true geek -- red cords on the floor are four T1 lines coming into the house, isn't internet work glamorous????:

The washing machine is obviously a primitive version of todays water-cooled CPU heatsinks. Have to keep them servers cool somehow!!!!!!
Like he'd use it to wash clothes or something......
