Beer, Beer and finally BEER
Hi All, Did Anyone miss me.
What do you mean no!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
Moving on before I get depressed thinking about it.
Well its getting into summer time so that means outside at a BBQ with my mates a burning cow and a beer. There are so many to choose from but there are a few beers that standout from the rest and heres my personal favourites with my review [OK I'm sad. But what else am I ment to drink when I'm watching the football!!!!]
Miller Genuine Draft [US] - 4.7% - Refreashing and crisp, goes down easily
Stella Artois [Belgium] - 5.2% - Full flavour, strong and with a finer taste than UK brewed booze
Budweiser [US]- 5% - Clean and crisp, An ideal beer to chill with
Kronenbourg 1664 [France] - 5% - Refreshing
Nastro Azzuro Peroni [Italy] - 5.2% - A beer which is a bit hard to find. Has a great tastes but a little dry. Has a strong flavour with a well hidden potency
Budweuser Budvar [Czech] - 5% - Time to ruffel some americans here. This stuff is better than "The king of beers". Smells great, tastes great and has a satisfying after taste which doesnt linger for too long
Steenbruggee Dubbel Bruin [Belgium] - 6.5% - Well what can I say, this stuff is great, lights up your tastebuds when its hits yet another fine brew from out Belgian friends.
Becks [Germany] - 5% - What can I say, Its a all round solid beer. Maybe a little on the gassy side but this is refreshing from the minute it hits your mouth.
On my on going mission I am always on the look out for the ultimate brew. Anyone recommened any more??
Cheers

I don't drink beer, but Sam Adams is extremely popular here.. (US)
Try that if you can, I know they sell it in Germany

I'd recommend Warsteiner and Shiner Boch. I don't drink beer very often anymore but when I do I drink one of these.

Papa, in New Hampshire, there were some Micro=brews that did really well, too.
Red Hook and Smutty Nose. Maybe you might be able to import them for "special guests"?
There is also this stuff my father in law gets called "Woodchuck", he loves it.
(Also, for champaign (sp?) get Cidra! Its apple champaign and its great!)

I don't know if it is a regional thing, but I have heard a lot of people talking about
Grolsch(sp?) lager. It comes in little 1 gallon kegs and also in keg shaped cans. I am not a drinker, but this one seems popular.

Shiner Bock is awesome on draft, not so good bottled
My fave is definately Paulaner's Oktoberfest Marzen (I believe I spelled that corectly, except for accents my keyboard doesn't possess)
Spaten is darn good too, probably about even with the Oktoberfest. Spaten Optimator is a good way to get blitzed FAST on good beer.
If I'm looking for something closer to home, its Miller Genuine Draft (it comes in bottles, the call it draft???) or Corona

I really like Oranjeboom!!! A friend of mine turned me onto it about 5 years ago. The only place I could find it was at Trader Joe's (it's a specialty grocery store). Unfortunately there are no Trader Joe's in Alaska, so ergo no Oranjeboom (I haven't seen it here) , but I think Trader Joe's is in NY. Checkem out Papa, they sell a fairly extensive collection of non-mainstream brews. As to Michelob, it's the premium beer product from Budweiser (Anheuser Bush ). You will be able to find it easily. If it is available I really like the Michelob Classic Dark. Ummm...Beeeeer!
I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!
Stay on the bomb run, boys. I'm going to get them doors open if it hair lips everybody on Bear Creek.

Yuengling Lager - Best all-around beer IMHO. If yer coming to NY Papa, you should be able to get it there. Great stuff.
Yuengling Black and Tan - So dark you can't see through the glass - need I say more?
I can't stand any other kind of "American Beer." Anything "light" makes me wanna yack.
....Maybe I should apply for a Yuengling sponsorship....
