this banner is the only one on the site it seems

i think you all have missunderstood me, this banner comes up in place of pages sometimes, no page, just the banner. its really annoying, and in the listing for all the firums, it comes up in the place of the folder icon, and it messes the tables up

It happens to me too, messes up the page frequently, but so do various other CGI errors. We'll just have to wait for the BB to get sorted I guess.

Sorry guys I see what you mean now.
Are you guys on Dial up?
I've never had that problem with DSL.
But the forums are a little slow still.

I get that alot too....I'm not on dial-up, but am part of an extremely large network when it does happen (work). When I am at home on my cable modem, I don't have any problems.

I never experienced this problem, either from work (T1) or home (dial-up).

Do you use some form of Internet speed booster (Ã* la NetSonic)?

    Cool

Had the same problem, thought it was IE playing silly buggers....

If you click BACK, then click on the link again, the page loads without a problem.

    Still a pain though..

    Yes!

I think it's the way the advert is sent from the server. It's messing up a lot of the images, almost like it's being buffered somewhere.

This only happens on my work PC which is a WinNT machine with IE5.5sp1. It doesn't happen on my home Win98SE with IE5.5sp1, so it must be something to do with the OS rather than the browser.

I'm gonna repatch this NT machine and see if I have any joy with it!
