    Post Huge insurance bill *grin*

Well, I have just spoken with my insurance broker.

In its current state, the Pulsar is going to cost $330.00AU to insure, for 3rd party damage, fire, and theft, insured to a value of $4000.00

After the stereo and rebuild is finished, the cost to insure it, for 12 months, is going to be (wait for it..) ... $2238.00 Insured value : $11,000.

    Heh.. ouch

1984 ET Pulsar. 1.5L Efi Turbo. The clincher, is the ****eload of stereo gear

Car will end up being insured for $4000, and the stereo gear for $7000

Kinda sounds like it would be werth buying a decent car to put the stuff in, at least then the insurance bill might not feel so bad...

I love the ET, I will eventually sell it (next year maybe) but not before fitting a larger turbo (Garret T28 methinks) stroking it to 1.7L, large front mounted intercooler, some custom fuel mapping, and porting the head.

In short, its not an investment, its a hobby
