Post Bigfoot 8gig HD (unable to boot) will pay $$

I have an older model Bigfoot 8gig drive that. This drive was partitioned/formatted using ez-drive. This created some type of 'driveoverlay' inwhich I can't get access to from boot or as a secondary drive.

It's been about 3 yrs since this has happened and I keep hoping every few months as a put the drive in it would just start working (yeah right). So I'd be willing to pay some ~100.00 to help in retrieving my data from the drive which would amount to 500mg at the most (no apps just the data files).

If you have any references (cousin, aunt nextdoor neighbor who's into drive restorals let me know).

    thanks again,

I just really must ask before you spend your money. Have you tried to use ezbios or ghost to copy the older drive to a newer drive that does not require an overlay in you computer then used ezbios to remove the overlay from the new drive to see if you can get at the data? BTW, you dont want to remove ezbios from the original drive as that can in some cases wipe the drive.

also by coping the drive you can find out if the drive is even any good.

Unless you have a Virus on the bigfoot.. getting the data back is easy enough to do. I am assuming that you had the drive installed in a different system originally... and now it wont work as the master OR as a slave in your new system. Some versions of EZ-Drive did funny things with the drive geometry and it can be tricky to get them working right in another system.
If you scan drive (as a slave in your system) and it shows no viruses... I have about a 97% success rate with retrieving data off of old drives (yes i have no life.... it is a hell of a hobby isnt it). You might try getting a blank drive.. install it USING EZ-DRIVE (Make sure your Bigfoot isn't connected till this is complete).. then add your Bigfot as a slave and see if your data isnt available. That is an EASY way to do it. If not E-mail me if you need help. I don't sleep much.

    Good Luck
