Star Wars - Attack Of The Clones premiere
Am I the only person that would consider going 'in character' to this thing? Im strongly contemplating putting together an Obi Wan costume for the prestigious event... anyone else as socially malformed as my good self?

I'll get the tickets online and try to make it a Star Wars and Spiderman day with my family.
As for going "in character", I'd shoot for one of the Fetts, but I'm afraid the rest of the family would tend to keep away from me, so...

Ok,.. I'll be there opening day for Spidey and SWII. But I won't be attending the premiere, and there's no way in hell I'll be dressing up for that in any sort of costumes. I love Star Wars, but believe it or not, I do have some dignity.

the last time I dressed up for something SciFi was when I was 8, and Captain Kirk....
Im not trying to be rude or a jackass, but just "contemplating" dressing up is very silly.

It is different for dressing up for a pagan holiday, that has long lost its meaning, and became a commercial whore, how?

Last time I checked, only kids 0-10 and 16-18 years dressed up for that commercially exploited pagan holiday.
And this isn't halloween...this is a premier for a movie which is commercially exploited more so than Halloween.
But If you enjoy dressing up, go for it. Nobody is stopping ya. You asked our opinions, and we give them.
Whatever floats your boat, Obi'.

lol. of course we'll be there...we just dont see the point in flaunting our jedi ways. A Jedi does not boast. A Jedi is always humble.

After sitting in line for 9 hours for the last starwars, I think I will be waiting a little while to see this one. It was one of the biggest dissappointments ever, and if JarJar is still alive or somebody dresses up like him or some Jamaican guy just happens to be in the area, and you put your hand in a puddle of goo which used to be your best friends face, WELL you will know what to do, son.

Well I guess I'm not the only one who thought that Episode 1 was not very good at all. The first three released episodes especially episode4 had some content, story and intelligent, witty dialogue. It seemed like Lucas just figured that with episode I he could wow everyone with all the cool special effect tricks and no one would care that the story was poor, the characters shallow and poorly acted, and the dialogue a complete waste of time.
I'll still go to see episode II, but I'm really not looking forward to it much at all after the debacle that was episode I. Heck I might wait for DVD or VHS.
