at work i did something pretty dumb and i dont suggest doing this.
but i do help desk for pc at work, before i went to lunch it wasnt that busy, so me and another co-worker went to lunch and we drove off and smoked pot. at parties i did this and didnt have much of a strong affect that this guys pot had. we went to the pool hall and all the sudden it hit me hard. i drove to a store to get eye drops and everything got bigger. i drove back to work and OMG i couldnt do it. to top it off our call center got busy all of the sudden, so i took calls. my eyes where blood shot red. people would tell me there problem and i would totally forget what they where talking about, somehow i troubleshot there problem. everything was moving my eyes felt like they where going to pop. the guys next to my desk noticed but they didnt say anything, after 3 hours it wore off. but i had three more hours to go before i can go home. i got a bad headache that day. i dont do this stuff all the time once in a great while like months.
i will never do that again. but i made it safe and finished off the day. i wasnt laughing or anything i was really quite and i kept to myself which is wierd for me because i talk about everyone.
someone in the usa was talking to a guy that was high off his @ss helping him trouble shoot his computer.

never again will i do this.
it was a good thing all i do is sit at work or i would have been screwed.

So you've experienced firsthand the effects pot can have on some people. And - although I know it's a judgement call - I'm personally impressed by your decision.

Pot never influenced me (and trust me, the hydroponic stuff grown in my province has one of the highest THC content in the world), but I was into other "soft" drugs such as hash for a while and realized much later on that I was hooked. I *had* to get my evening joint or pipe every day.

I gave up drugs, booze and cigarettes at the same time my wife did about 9 years ago. Our mutual support (and a good "dose" of God's help ) contributed to our never going back.

Those who say soft drugs such as pot, haschish, speed and the like don't have side-effects or don't create dependency are either deluded, already too-influenced or completely mis-informed.

I have had that same experience after have quitting the dope stuff for 4 years I had tried it again just for fun and was smashed with paranoia and hot flashes. probably mostly because I thought I could smoke as much as i used too. but the point is before I smoked it I knew I shouldn't do it and ignored it and went with it anyway. thus resulting in the bad trip.

I can honestly say I still smoke but very rarely and never more that a drag off a pipe at night before bed. but that's it I never smoke in public or at work that would be nuts. I have had a gram for over 8 months when it used to be 15 minutes.

Know your limit and stay far away from it.

And don't ignored your self when your spirit is saying no, struggle to follow it.

This was years ago...

I used to smoke indo all the time. I cannot belive to this day how much I smoked. I don't remember how or why I quit. All I remember is that 3/4 of my high school class was constantly stoned. We would meet in this cave in woods by my high school and just smoke up before first period. Then at lunch we would do it again and then again after school was out. I can honestly say there was a 6 month period where I was high 24/7. We would work for weed. The only real reason to have a job was to buy more weed and munchies.

I was a very chilllled and relaxed stoner. An F5 tornato could rip through my neighbor hood and I'd still be sitting there watching TV and eating cheetos.

Glad to see you've given it up. It's been 5-6yrs with out it for me. And to this day, I'm still very slow.

Interesting topic this one since I can relate. I don't think there is anything wrong with trying this stuff providing you learn from the experiences. I have only just stopped smoking weed every day myself though I had never worked stoned or gone to school stoned. I would only ever indulge in that stuff on my own time. Except for one occasion when I cut up lines in the bathroom at work with a work mate. I found that to be quite good since the day just flew by and at the end of it, we both felt as though we had accomplished the days tasks and faster/better than usual. Course whether or not we did remains to be seen? Since taking up guitar though I can't be bothered with that stuff anymore since I can't play for $hit when I'm stoned/high. Not only that but the cost jst doesn't justify it. It wasn't uncommon for me to blow nearly an entire weeks worth of pay $400 (I get about $600 a week) on drugs and alcohol etc, and have nothing to show for it afterwards except to be dazed and confused for a few days.

Good for you... I have never been addicted to anything more than porn, video games, and caffeine, but I've even had those screw up my life!!! Anything is fine in moderation, but the key is to recognize what is moderation and what is just plain stupid, and even more important, to recognize if you are the kind of person who CAN do something in moderation or if you are in denial and just being stupid.

Unfortunately, too many people learn the hard way. Cheers to you for finding out with so few real consequences to your actions.

well im at work now and im feeling good, going to go to gym after work. how long does it take to get out of your system, i want to apply for other jobs but afraid i will get an interview and they will make me take a piss test, how long should i wait before i apply at other places?
i didnt get caught at work or anything im just looking for more money.

that was a bad experience, i was sh*tting bricks that day afraid i was going to get caught. i kept to myself that day and ignored everyone else talking to me.

I think something happens when you get older. It was like I woke up one day and for some mysterious reason, I wasn't thinking about where my next buzz was coming from.

Oh well, I smoked a lifetime supply between 19 and 20 something.
