[RESOLVED] New Uses for OLD IDE Notebook HDDs
I got my hand on use old small sized notebook hard drives, There IDE drives but how to use/connect them. Was thinking of connecting them to my Compaq Handheld. Anyone know what the pin out is for at ide(44 pin)? Chris

I just found a 2.5" to 3.5" drive converter that allows notebook hard drives to connect to a 40 pin IDE data strap. Has a power connector also.
Should work for desktops. I don't know about hand helds.
