[RESOLVED] HDD Startup Error Help
Getting the following error: "Hard disk fail (80)" what does it mean? When I press F1 to resume everything works fine. Please Help

The only advise I can give is to remove the IDE cable give it a clean with some SAFE solvent check for pin damage reinstall. Check BIOS settings( press DEL on startup) Go to IDE section, allow system to find IDE devices press y on all occaisons, this is the computers recommendation & reboot it worked for me.....Good Luck

Good luck, but that can also be a sign of a bad drive -- the motor cannot spin it up in time for the bios to 'peek' at it. If cleaning th cable didn't help, try the drive in a different computer and see what happens,
