    I AM USING WIN98,my harddrive is a 2.5 GB,
    BUT WHEN PUT THE HARDDRIVE IN MY COMPUTER,
    THE COMPUTER MADE A SMALL PARTITION,AND LIST
    MY HARDDRIVE AS 1.99.EVEN AFTER I RE-FORMATED
    THE HD,I STILL HAVE THE PARTITION.MY BIOS DATE IS 04/30/1998.WHAT IS GOING WRONG?

    Sounds like you need to go into FDISK, answer (y)es when prompted for using large disk, then delete all partitions and then recreate the primary partition using full capacity. Be sure your MB BIOS settings are set to Primary Master - AUTO as well.

    with that bios date you should be able to see the full 2.5 gb, but just to be sure(if the fdisk suggested above doesn't work)autodetect hard disks and see what size shows in the bios.
