Actually... it'd be pretty neck 'n' neck.
The powerplant is the LS1 Chev V8, and HSV are looking at the LS6 variant, hopefully released in the VY model range, out in another 2 years.
But lets face it, with very few japanese exceptions, who else, builds immensly powerful, rear wheel drive coupe's and sedans, and still manage to make them affordable.
BMW, Merc, and even Ford, eat your hearts out.

That car is pretty cool, but I'd take the Chevy anytime over an import.

Are there any "American" cars anymore? Or flags? Why does every flag I find say made in China on it?
Personally, I'll take my Toyota Tacoma and the motorcycles I can fit in the back, one Kawasaki and one Laverda.

Yes, there are several plants in Canada, all in the province of Ontario. Ford has a plant in St. Thomas, an engine plant in Windsor, and another plant in Oakville. The Oakville plant is where every Windstar is made. DaimlerChrysler has a plant in Brampton and two more in Windsor, Chevy of course has a massive plant in Oshawa, and Honda has a plant in the tiny town of Alliston where they make Hondas and the Acura 1.7EL.
There used to be a Volvo plant in Halifax which has since closed, and the Camaro/Firebird plant in Quebec is closing very soon (if it hasn't already)
Those are the plants that I know of off hand.

Very nice looking cars! They appear to be about the size of the Saturns here in the US. Let's see - Saturn with Corvette 5.7 - rear wheel drive: all I can say is LOOK OUT MUSTANGS!!
