Hard disk fails to start up
When I start up my computer after it has been off for a while my hard disk fails to start up. I can hear it getting up to speed and then it starts to slow down immediately. Whenever this happens and it starts to look for boot device on IDE 0 it will tell me that it didn't find it. And when this happens my computer won't start up obviously. So I reboot a couple times and will start up again but this is really getting annoying.
So if anybody know what the problem is or how I can fix it please tell me.
thanks..
Joris

If your bios has a setting for "hard disk pre-delay" try setting it higher. this will give the drive time to spin up before the bios attempts to access it.

Yes,it works. But as it seems to me, You have dying HDD. Check HDD' S.M.A.R.T status for "spin up" and ...RMA (if it possible).
