when it can't get much worse...
Well let's see my present life has mostly turned to crap.
( I just need to vent somewhere )
My friend of 4 years just commited suicide a couple of days ago , my best friend got kicked out of his house by his mother and is staying with me for the time being , my father just lost his job and I just lost my present job today.
Oh and did I mention my other (ex) friend is now a full time drug dealer?
( venting over for now )

Yikes. Why is it that every few weeks some Windrivers person who totally doesn't deserve it has their entire life fall apart? I almost think we should set up an Eternal Flame or something that people who are going through s$%# like this can go sign their name at and we can all pin our hopes and prayers to.
CD, sorry you had to be the latest in this string. Those of us who are religious will pray for ya and those of us who aren't will drink to you in the hopes that things get better.

What a tough break. Keep your chin up, man. These experiences tend to shape us and make us who we are.

CD, this might not be the best way to bring this out, but the Lord tests us in many ways. I know that I am far from a good example, but things do happen for a reason. At one point in my life I wanted to end it all, that lasted for a couple of nanoseconds. After that, another apparent screw up happened, I joined the US Navy. Along the way, I met the woman I would marry. We have 3 great kids, when they aren't acting like the little devils that kids often do. Then I made preparations for getting out of the military, without any benefits at all. This nearly sent me into a breakdown, but I recovered. Now I have a decent job, where I don't have to constantly be forced to train the untrainable until their guess factor gets lucky, stand long watches at night in addition to my normal daily work and no more dictatorship leaders. This never would have happened if I hadn't chosen to do something difficult and dealt with things even more demanding than I had thought of. I made it through it all, and so can you. There is no shame in crying for those that are no longer with us, and you can certainly worry some, but not so much that it consumes you.
Good Luck.
God is all knowing, I am just human.

Yo CD Sorry about your friend I know how it feels to lose a close friend to suicide, And you'll find another job.
But you can always come to WinDrivers if you have a problem or DSB, because you have alot of friends here.
I'll say a prayer at Mass for your friend, and one for you too!
Jim
