How many card games to you know?
I was just thinking about all the card games I know how to play with one or more regular decks of cards. I know how to play:
Canasta
Rummy
Progressive rummy
Poker
Blackjack
99
Kings-in-a-corner
The bum game
Speed
War
Go Fish
Old Maid
Solitare
Double Solitare
Eqytian Ratscrew
Hearts and
Spades.
At one time or another I could play:
Hand-and-foot
Gin Rummy and
Crazy 8's.
Using specialty decks, I can play:
Uno
BombO
SkipBo (made by the same company) and
Phase 10.
Imagine what I would know if I didn't remember all those rules!!

Proper card games, the only ones I know to add to your list are 500 and Cribbage. Of yours I only know Solitaire & Blackjack.
Kid's games, add Beggar-my-Neighbour (Strip Jack Naked), Cheat.
Eqytian Ratscrew???
Oh, OK it's just Beggar-my-Neighbour...with some complications.

Are there any 45's players around? Now there's an addictive game. Also known as Auction 45's, Auction 120's I think.

I played back in the revised time. i had original raries like Dopplegangers(4), timetwisters, time elemtals among others.. All blue (this was BEFORE 4th edition). I revolved around the stasis deck death theme. I've seen giving up but have the computer version of the game that i play from time to time.

You don't still have any cards, do you? Even crappy ones? I sold my collection, but am trying to get back into the game, and even the old commons are sometimes hard to find...

many many many
when I was little my dad was a tour coach owner, so I got to travel around Australia regulary with him, I used to collect a deck of cards in each place we stayed. He would learn all the new games and come home and teach me.
When I was around 11, he used to take me on Skiing weekends all through winter and the coach operators had their own Bar and lounge where they had card tournaments. I was pretty much on show most of the time as dad would only have me as his Euchre Partner. They all thought it was pretty trick that this little kid could play cards and beat the best of them. Dad and I had played games together so long that we knew each others game... We used to win a fair bit.....I loved card games then...Now I play them all on my computer.

Can't believe none of you have mentioned booray(sp?). It's kinda like war, but betting occurs in between throws. I've heard of houses and cars being lost on one turn of the card, as this is a popular plane/bus game among pro athletes
