Flabooble!
She ran a program that let her do it. Can't go into how or what she did as this will take us into the realm of hacking/cracking and the mods hate it when we talk about that stuff here.
Report her to the ISP and leave it at that.

Report her user ID to MSN. If you want to learn how to protect yourself, go to usenet and look for alt.computer.security
or better yet search the ng's available through your ISP server for security and MSN IM.
If this is over the limit, please let me know mods, but I believe everyone has a right to be informed and have a fence around their property.
Stress.... The uncontrollable urge to choke the living $417 out of someone who desperately needs it.
Ignorance.... The inherent capacity to demand of someone else that which one is too lazy to learn/perform for one's self.
User....An individual who, through immense proportions of ignorance, create stress.

You may have some form of Trojan program installed on your PC...
Have you run a virus scanner lately? If not, get one installed and do a full search of your PC to see if there's anything nasty lurking on your machine.
Also, you might want to get yourself a personal firewall installed to stop unwanted access to your PC to stop it happening again.
Try ZoneAlarm as it's free and easy to install.

A trojan may still have "slipped through the net" as you may have accidentally given it permissions to access the network through ZoneAlarm.
Make sure you run a virus scan with the most upto date definitions and see what turns up.

If they are on MSN, then they are using a passport account (@msn or @hotmail).
My friend had a similar experience...they cannot block one of the "buddies" because that "buddy" has some weird program installed.
I'd report them and get them banned....but remember, all they have to do is reregister. You may want to consider dropping the old username & getting a new one, that way they wouldnt know who you were & they could pick on someone else.

You`re not the only one who`s had this,as i have as well.
Firstly you don`t need a hotmail address to access the account as you used to be able to access it with your own email address(not sure if you still can).
The persons id is "[email protected]" and all the do is when you type they wink at you and the more you type the more they wink.
They do send you a virus which is the W32.choke.worm.
All info on this worm/virus can be found here:- http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ven...hoke.worm.html
Hope that helps and clears things up a bit
