Can you use the same name/pass as you use for WD?
I like Linux (even though I suck at it) but I dont use it because I have a WINmodem and hence cant get online without the seemingly complicated process of getting a, LINmodem driver for it. When I go to college next month I am going to try to use it though. Because I will have BROADBAND!!

Actally, I expected what I've seen at EVERY other linux help/question site. A bunch of a-holes who think they know everything, bashing on the newbies (hey look! I'm actally calling myself a newbie at something! ), for not knowing something, or the "my distro is better than your distro" wars. Either that, or every other post is simply Microsoft bashing.

You can use the same name/pass, but you have to register. The databases aren't linked. The forums also seem to be an older version.

Is there really such a thing as Linmodem drivers? If so, how can I get a hold of one. My winmodem is what's keeping me from using Linux online. I assumed I'd have to revert to ISA or an external modem.

Yes, Linmodem does exist. I've not yet used it (and should never need to), but I know several people who use it, and as long as you have a supported modem, it seems to work fine.
BTW, I had my question answered in the time it took me to read the new posts here!

I've wandered over there a few times. Haven't used it much however. I don't have a linux box, yet.
