    EC: Hello?

    Luser : Yeah, The network is down.

    EC: No it isnt, Your deluded.

    Luser: It must be down!

    EC: Explain to me why?...

    Luser: Well, all our computers just turned themselves off over here..

    EC: And this is a network problem?

    Luser: Isnt it?...

    EC: $10 says your air conditioner isnt working either...

    Luser: Hey... guess I should call the sparkies then?

    EC: Perhaps you should...

    All the more reason to get plastered before coming to work...

    Ah the joys of Helpdesks...

    My doozie today went something like this...

    Luser "I need help setting up my linux with your service"

    Me "Well, just set your system for DHCP and you'll be OK"

    Luser "Can't you walk me throught it?"

    Me "No, it's unsupported, we only support Macintosh and Windows operating systems. Just configure your system for DHCP"

    Luser "What's DHCP?"

    It went downhill from there
