Question Which TV Service to go with?

    Okay,
Maybe you guys can help me out... Let's take a poll.

    Digital Cable?

    DirectTV?

    Dish Network?

I have good old basic cable....I refuse to add another box and remote to my already burdensome combos of TV, VCR, and DVD in two rooms and Tuner/Surround added to that in a third. Not to mention having to pay extra for the boxes....

Id never goto the other than standard cable but only if they forced me to buy taking away basic cable. I dont like the idea of the box and only one tv. I have my whole house wired with cable for tv. Each room has a jack. If I go with the dish then I can only go with one tv, thats weak sauce

Digital Cable here, got the box on the main tv where we do most of the watching, then basic cable running to the 2 bedrooms for other tv watching. I wont pay extra for another box, even though it is only 3 dollars a month extra.

I have got some friends that have the Direct TV in their main TV room then cable to the rest of the house. Works pretty good there too, but they have the extra money to blow on stuff like that.

It all depends on your situation. I have Dish Network. They have a better deal around here than cable. I don't have a cable modem ( which they are really screwing with people... You have to have digital cable to get cable modem, unless grandfathered in!!!!) so that isn't a factor. Another thing is you need an attenae for locals so if you can't pull them in you probably want cable. The quality of the picture with Dish Network is considerable better than when I had cable. I also got a free dish and reciever when I signed up..... I was paying almost $50 including all fees, taxes, etc for cable Now I pay $34 and I have all but local and two other channels that I had with cable. Locals come in fine for me here ( at least the ones I watch! ). The only thing I don't like is the weather channel doesn't give me a local weather update anymore......

    Just some things to ponder....
