Why my day is going so well
I am working getting things done when my boss comes in and closes the door and tells me A) they got rid of 10 telephone techs , that makes 17 this week out of 130 or so, and B) we may have a possible bomb threat but don't worry. No bomb it turns out . Whew !!!

Something like that....nice thought that they were worried about your safety and cleared everyone out to check on the bomb situation...

IT staff Last to know Last to Go.
We had disgruntled Janitors protesting here today. It was Funny because they couldn't speak any english when they were working here but they knew a lot more when they were screaming at us.

Never been with a company that took bomb threats seriously. The one time the store was evacuated nobody told the techs we were in the back and someone went for a soda ran back in yelling that the store was empty. This wasn't taken seriously till a sales associate found a odd package in his section.

Before I started working here they had a fire in the elevator and my two co-workers got yeeld at by the fire police because they were in the server room taking down all the servers and grabbing all the tapes from the backup drives. It's always the way as tech we are expected to continue working up to and through impending doom.
