Well, I just looked at some of the lines for this Sunday and almost started to cry. I'm going to lose my hom e gambling this week. I know I'l'l put big money down, and I'll get greedy and lose it all.

There are so many games that are enticing me to bet. (It may help that the football gambling section of my brain is stuck in 1998)

Ok, this is my ticket of the week I think.

    Atlanta +4 in Indy.
    Detroit +3 at home.
    NO Vs St.L under 51.
    Detroit Minn under 46 1/2
Maybe Oakland SD under 46 1/2 as well.

I'll also consider taking Detroit +3 off the ticket. Stupid Minny can't be predicted though.
Hard work often pays off in the long run, but Lazyness always pays off now.

Yeah, all he does is catch touchdowns.

And he is quite good at it too. I have him on my fantasy team. If it weren't for the fact that "All he does is catch touchdowns" he'd be pretty worthless. But, he still should not be scolding the young QB like he does. It's really not helping. Oh well.... Thank God I'm a Packer fan.

Chris Carter a cancer??? Carter is a big reason why Moss has walked the straight and narrow so far in his time with minnesota. He's a leader and an example to the younger players. You'd be hard pressed to find a someone more competitive or with a better work ethic. If that's cancer, I'll take as many as I can get for my team.

I wish the steelers had a veteran like carter who would have taken Kordell Stewart to task for playing like Sh*t and not owning up to it these past few years. Maybe he would have matured a little quicker and had a few more seasons like this one under his belt.

Dan Marino was infamous for letting his recievers know when they screwed up. Who do you think knows the offense and routes better up there in minn. A 3rd year quaterback, or Carter? If no one calls you on your mistakes then how do you improve. If you keep making the same mistakes over and over then perhaps you need told emphactically.

If Culpepper is the quaterback of the future, what good does it do to play him injured through the end of a season that means nothing. Simply tell him he's being rested to get healthy and ready for next year. Give the ball to Bauman and see how compentent of a Backup QB he'll make.

On another note, Dennis green just got assurance from management that he'll be back next year no matter how the team finishes. Personally, I think that's a mistake.

    Kingt,
    Haven't looked over yet.

    You like Atlanta huh?

Like I said I don't know about tapping that Lion's well again but am tempted. Like the over/under on N.O.

Yeah I do. It's my upset of the week. Indy's been slidding hard lately, and I think they'll have some trouble with Atlanta's secondary. It's far from my lock of the week though.

I also might decide to lose money on the Bills this week, just for sentimental reasons.

Denny Green's contract is good until 2003. I'm praying that they toss him after that. I've never liked him nor will I ever. I know McCombs has had his eyes on a coach from Texas... maybe he should bring him up.

Now on the subject of Culpepper, he's too much of a pu$$y to throw passes. The game against the Steelers when Culpecker got injured, Bouman came in and nearly won that game for us. I didn't see Culpecker do **** for the team that game... but then again, that was the game which Moss claimed he didn't feel like playing at 100%. I really don't think Culpecker is all that great and personally, I believe one of the main reasons why Green likes him soo much is because of his size. The man is the same size if not larger, than some of the guys on the line. Now that's great and all, but you gotta be able to make the plays happen... and he doesn't. Hell, for half the season he was the Vikings leading rusher. What the hell is up with that?!! Shouldn't that normally be your running backs job?

    That means either;
    A. He should be passing the ball
    B. He should be handing it off to Bennett
    C. Did I mention he should be passing the ball?

Personally, everything seemed to fall into place with Bouman as QB. Now you can't really judge a man based on 1 game. But you gotta admit, the Vikes did play one hell of a game. Putting Culpecker back in isn't going to make the Vikings any better, I say that they should bench his a$$ for the remainder of the year and see how Bouman develops. Bouman has been riding the pine for 4 years and as soon as he gets some game time, he starts making plays happen. Maybe Culpecker should be watching him instead...
