Lindows spam...?
I recieved some spam today from a group I'd never heard of until I got the spam...
It came from lindows.com and although I have never signed up with them I got an e-mail from thier mail list... My problem is I don't object to getting spam from Lindows (as I'm an avid Linux advocate) but I do object being signed up to a mail list I've never heard of before, and also that a Linux distro is dipping down to the scum level of spamming!
I don't get it... when did Linux become just another one of those company's that spam people?!?!
Maybe I'm just getting old... :-(

from what ive heard about lindows, its not exactly linux... its more of a hybrid windows/linux distro that apparently lets you walk in both realms at once...
this os has the potential to be really great, should it get the attention that it would need to get a foot hold

Why even give spammers a valid address? I just give out phony ones like [email protected] or [email protected]

MacGyver - you don't even have to give out an e-mail address to get spam. I got a hotmail account one day, and the next day, I received 30 spam messages. I've NEVER given out the hotmail account address, but continue to receive 30 - 50 spam messages a day..... figure that one out.....
