I'm on the Lindows mailing list.
The basic precept is interesting, but if I'm going with Linux, I'll use Linux apps to go along with it (OpenOffice or WordPerfect Suite, GIMP, etc...).
I strongly doubt that any MS apps would find their way into that system, so "Windows compatibility" wouldn't be a strong selling point for me.

I've been watching the development of this product for some time now and I am thrilled to see the world of linux mold to become more compatible with windows, it will allow people to try linux without having to give up their collection of software

I would never buy a PC from Wal-mart. I am hesitant to buy one from an electronics store.
I wouldn't have named it Lindows, that is dumb.
But anyways, it is a good concept, needs to be developed some more, i think it is kind of like an oversized Palm...
