    Cool

Welcome to broadband EC. I've got the same 512/128/10G setup here for $49.00 per month (cable modem). Keep posting from work and updating us on the DSL status!

Yeah.. after converting, that sounds about the same. (cost wize..)

What sort of firewalling are you using?.. Im setting up an e-smith linux box (very, very easy) until I get more adept at setting up a Debian box properly, or I can convince my buddy to make me one.. *grin*

I've got all 4 of our PC's hooked up through my D-Link Router. So I'm using the built in hardware firewall. According to Shields Up all is excellent, no leaks all ports stealth. In Arizona I only had one PC connected on broadband and used Zone Alarm (freebie) and never had any problems.

I have been burned before with "worms" so I use "zonealarm" along with norton AV and my linksys router switch(hardware firewall),better safe then sorry.

Agreed, hence the job of connection security is being handed over to an OS that actually can provide it..
