    Hi all,

I have been considering buying Spinrite 5 recently, but I would really appreciate anybodys views on whether it is any good or not.

For those who haven't heard of the program information is availible at http://grc.com

    Thanks.

I have never used it personally but I have heard many many good things about it and from reputable sources. I trust these people enough to recommend it.

I agree with Radical Dreamer; from what I have heard and read, SpinRite is an excellent program.
Years ago when Steve Gibson first developed the program, Symantec tried to buy it but Steve said “No”.
Later Symantec developed their own version -Norton’s Disk Doctor which is based on Steve's program.
