Hmm...as an evil upper management type, aka a Big White Hat, I don't condone what happened to you. Yes it eats used kitty litter. My bottom line advice get the promises it in writing!!! Then you can use that "contract" to beat them over the head with. I know from first hand experience that verbal promises aren't worth a pewter's d@*/.
As to your MCP i would listen to imaeditedbysowulo or Ya_Know's advice!

I can win any argument with any computer made yet. Since they really haven't learned to fight back.
