Air fares Sux!!!
Why is it cheaper to fly west to east than east to west. For my sins I work away from good old Blighty (simpatises with Dr Foster) So to come home to the family Abu Dhabi to London 500 quid !!! London Abu Dhabi 275!!! WTF!! whats worse same airline!!
I know it would be cheaper to pay for a hooker localy but she who must be obeyed would probably remove my gonads and feed them to the dog!!
sorry about this post but it hurts me to part with cash

What really kills is the "open-skies" agreement in North America. Under this agreement, Canadian owned and operated airlines have exclusive rights on flights from one Canadian destination to another (domestic flights). However, any airline may fly into or out of a Canadian city so long as it's other point of departure or arrival is outside Canada (international flights). So this means that basically one airline has a monopoly in Canada.
It costs me over $600CDN to fly from Toronto to Vancouver. But because that same airline actually has to be competitive when flying internationally, I can fly to Florida for less than half that.

I work in a Canadian run hospital they also tell me that but you guys get more luggage allowance!!! the people flying from here to say Toronto get 65Kg per bag, when we fly to London we get 20 Kg's TOTAL!!! the damn plane going to Canada stops of in London anyway!! What is up with that.
Work does give me one ticket a year but in Cargo Class on Buddy Holly Airlines

It depends on the airline you are flying with and if they are also carrying cargo, if they are carrying cargo there will be less space for passenger luggage. I always travel light but when I moved out here I took as much of my stuff as I could. The luggage allowance was 44kg. If you exceeded it, you would have to pay extra for each additional 5kg or something crazy like that. The additional charge was still cheaper than shipping the stuff cross country.

The funny thing is here in Des Moines, we have an international airport(1 flight to Canada a day must quailfy). Our flight costs 20-30% more than if we were to fly out of Omaha, NE; Kansas City, MO; or Chicago, IL!
