Network Security
Anyone out there in the network security field. I really enjoy opening things up and finding how they work. I would like to know what type of certifications I need of areas to study. So far I have a few MCP's and in a few months should have my MCSE, I also have began working a little with RedHat.

Ha, certifications mean nothing. Best place to start is technet . I have no certs, no degrees, nothing and our admin wanted 2 of us to see what we could do - and we did it in 36 hours. Oh, did I forget to mention I knew NOTHING the days prior and recieved no help from them? Thank you technet! ...and a few other nifty programs.

I have used other programs like that, nothing illegal (Read "Don't close this thread please Mod's) But I am looking for something that will get me hired and a great paying job or help me move into a position in that field.

expierence.
best way to do it is get hired as an admin and make security your speciality
honestly, you'll never know how a network truly works w/o some college behind it. I'm doing microprocessors next trimester at Devry and its amazing how complex yet simple they are.....networks are one in the same.
