Resolved [RESOLVED] 96 MB partition that I can't remove

After dual booting my system with Linux and windows98, everything went fine for about 2 months and then LILO crashed which forced me to fdisk, format and reinstall windows (forget about Linux, I'll just use the machines at school). During the first screen of fdisk, I have the five options of create partition, set active, delete partition, etc. Now there appears a fifth option to change drives. I only have one partition on the drive and when I tried to access the 96 MB drive 2, fdisk says "cannot access drive 2". From here I have no other option but to ignore it. I have tried debug scripts to delete the partitions, writing zeros to the drive and have even tried the linux partitioning software all to no effect. What could be causing it? Is it possible that I have damaged the drive and the drive has segregated the damaged area? Help!

Did you try the MS-DOS Debug Partition Remover.

It is in the Hard Drive Utility center right off the main Windrivers page.

It kind of looks like through some aberration fdisk is seeing your zip drive? Make sure there is only one IDE device connected and see what Fdisk shows.

    Try ZAP.EXE
    http://www.windrivers.com/utility/download/072099.htm

If it does not work, let me know - I STILL haven't seen a drive it would not wipe.
