Help! Scsi not terminated!
I have to install an HP Supestore Dat8i to an Adaptec 29160. The only other scsi device is an IBM 9Gb LVD. HP has not a termination (or I was not able to terminate it!), and if I use the same LVD cable to connect HD (id1) and HP (id2), appears : "insufficient termination detected on the lvd/se connectors". With only HD message disappear. If I connect HP to Scsi-2 controller of the 29160, message is "insufficient termination detected on the se connectors".
I must mistake something. Could someone help me? Thanks!

Which chipset motherboard are you using?
I had a 29160 that would do the same thing on a 820 chipset.
I had to go to the 2940U2 to get it to perform right.

Resolved! I used a UW cable with a terminator at the end. LVD cable is not a good cable for DAT,as I read in HP support.
Thanks!

I was about to say, run the devices on separate chains. The tape drive will slow the HD down significatly!
