    Talking System Descriptions

Why do people put their system desciptions as there signature? Do I need to put it in as well? I have a home network of six systems. It would take up a lot of space. Put something thought provoking instead, amuzing or interesting. Instead of a pissing contest.

Most people place their system specs in their signatures to save them typing it all in if they need help with a problem, although their are a couple on here who think that it is a 'p1$$1n9' contest.

Also, good to post that stuff in case someone's got the same hardware as you, see what benchmarks they are getting with a certain card or CPU, etc

If I could only find someone with a R-AIW I could find out what the normal 3dmark scores are for those things..

I noticed the same thing and thought it was ridiculous as well. That is was I have placed my system configuration in my signature...to show how immature it looks.

I usually prefer favorite movie quotes in my signatures.

it would almost be quicker to have a webpage with your specs, and link to it.
