    Resolved [RESOLVED] I need a vcrond.vxd file

I was uninstalling several programs. I rebooted my computer and when the computer was booting, it said that the windows registry or the system.ini file refered to c:\windows\system\vcrond.vxd file which was no longer there. I have no idea where this file came from or what it would be associated with. Can someone please show me a place or tell me how to get this wretched file back.

Either one of your uninstalls didn't uninstall completely or you deleted a program which still had references to that program. Easy fix: Run regedit and search for "vcrond.vxd" and delete the reference to the file. The file was apparently deleted during one of your uninstalls but the registry entry was not removed.
