He makes a fine point doesn't he. I don't think anyone is really even considering public ratings, so I'm not even going to mention it. As for all the other stuff, I think people really lose sight of the fact that this is a forum for help with computers. If you need help, or want to offer help, by all means, go nuts! The only thing that can really be legitimately complained about is whether or not people's problems are being solved. I personally don't get a salary bonus if I attain Tech God status at WinDrivers. It doesn't automatically get me into heaven, or win me a new car. The stars are a worthless way to add a little fun. This is probably just a problem that will fade out in a little while, then crop up again in a few months. Hopefully it's all a part of the WD growing pains. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I think this thread was started to ruffle up feathers because someone couldn't reach somebody directly because they didn't know who that somebody was that deleted a thread or two or more. What I would like to know is who is banned and how I can email them to see if they have their own forums to go to instead of coming here.

ya. the ratings system kinda sux.. look at me.. im an advanced tech or whatever, and i havent really helped ppl out that much.. most of my posts have been in here, and that was only so that i could get up a custom avatar @ 200, then it was to get on the friends page @ 300...

needless to say i have stopped posting with abandon and am going to try and only post from now on on topics that i feel my input would be appreciated on, such as this one.

and for all the mod bashers that got Darren to resign, shame on you... Darren was one of the best mods that this forum ever had, and you guys gave him enuff sh*t the he left. plus, it was always good to see him and cobra go off at each other.
