    Post Line conditioners/surge suppressors

I have been slowy adding onto my Home Theater System part by part. And now I think I am in need of line conditioner or UPS unit. What my question is would the <a href="http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BF500U&language=en&LOC AL.APCCountryCode=WW" target="_blank">APC</a> do the same thing as a <a href="http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-7NGZheQugPq/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=9&g=54000&I=299MAX4300&o=m&a=0" target="_blank">line conditioner</a>?

I doubt it - the specs don't mention line noise filtering or such.

    What about <a href="http://www.powerware.com" target="_blank">Powerware</a> products?

Hmmm.... I never noticed that before. I always thought that the APC units had some sort of Line filter on them. I guest I learned something new today.

I use a panamax 5100 to protect my HT setup. I figure $350 is not too much to spend when you're protecting $6k+ of equipment.
