installing mouse drivers
I am trying to upgrade a computer network that is using Novell as a network system. It never had a mouse installed. I installed Windows 95 but when I start it up it cannot find the mouse. I have downloaded the genericmouse driver for dos from the web site
but it will not allow me to install it from the A prompt. It is a digiage serial port mouse. What am I doing wrong?

Windows 95 does not need a mouse driver installed, it has it's own. When you get a message that it cannot find a mouse, it is because the mouse is bad, not responding, or the com port you have plugged the mouse into is not active (disabled in bios etc..). Your problem is hardware related not software.
Hope this helps.
